At Hope Church, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect
Our church is located at 107 Progress Center Plaza in Centerville. We are directly across from Homestead Restaurant. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get his approval--that comes through Jesus' sacrifice. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church wear ties, others like to remind them that Jesus never wore a tie. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you'll see both.
As you enter the reception area, let one of our greeters know that you are new here so that you can receive a gift bag. Coffee is located in this area, help yourself. Restrooms are located in the reception area as well. Through the double doors to the left is the worship area. Feel free to sit anywhere. If you have any questions about the service itself, any church member should be able to provide helpful answers or point you in the right direction.
Adult Bible Study and Children’s Sunday School are both offered in a small group setting as an option before worship. They both begin at 9:00 A.M.
For parents of littles, there is an unattended nursery with a live feed of service. There are comfortable chairs, a changing table and lots of books and toys. You are welcome to use it at any time
We have a “meet and greet” time between worship music and preaching. Just before meet and greet we will have announcements and ask first time visitors to raise their hands. This gives our hosts an opportunity to see where the new faces are so that they can give you a gift bag and introduce themselves to you during the break. Feel free to use this time to visit, use the restroom or get coffee.
At the “meet and greet” time is when children are dismissed to Children’s Church on the youth side. You can walk them over and meet our Youth Pastor, Charley Stone. Children will have an activity to burn off energy and then go into age appropriate classrooms for lessons and learning. Classes are offered for Pre-K through Senior High students. You are welcome to sit in the unattended nursery with children under the age of 4. Snacks are offered during classes so please let Charley know if your child has food allergies.
Pastor Devin Pickard will deliver the message of God’s word. We will close in prayer and you are welcome to hang around after church to meet our pastor, speak to our leadership staff, or visit with other church members.
We look forward to seeing you and welcome you with open arms.
